A look at Galena’s Shenandoah Riding Center

Recently I have been granted the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Shenandoah Riding Center in Galena, Il. They welcomed me with a “Meet the Photographer” event where I got the chance to meet some of their boarders and lesson attendees. I am already looking forward to coming back for some sessions!

Afterwards, I got to go on one of their discovery trail rides! The horses were very well trained, so all I had to do was sit back and enjoy the scenery around me. My horse’s name was Toby, and he was so good for me. I could tell he truly enjoyed his job. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have any kind of interest in horses, even if you’ve never ridden before! From the well mannered horses to the friendly staff, you will not be disappointed.

Lastly, I used this opportunity to feed my equine photography passion by walking around and taking some photos of the horses for fun! Some of them ate up the attention and even struck a pose for me. Here are some of the friendly faces at Shenandoah Riding Center! Enjoy!

All of the horses were so friendly and walked right up to the fence!

Kindest gelding ever! He LOVED the attention and it was hard to walk away from him! I do not know his name, but he reminded me of a horse I knew in the past that we called Myron. 🙂

This horse has such kind eyes!

I plan on coming back in June for some mini sessions and will capture some more candids as well! They’ll be even more gorgeous with all the greenery.
